OK, bloggineers, I'm taking another hiatus to finish up the revisions on my thesis. In the interim, for your viewing pleasure, here's some highlights from another site, "Worst Album Covers of All Time".
Have a great week!

Magic!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the Dave Starr is a classic album. I'm thinking something along the lines of Jimmy Smith - Back at the Chicken Shack...
ReplyDeleteDave Starr frightens me.
ReplyDeleteI Googled "Ken by Request Only" and found that there was a Snopes entry. I followed the thread where people debated "Real vs Photoshop" on the album cover. Somewhere in the thread someone announced that a copy had appeared on Ebay, and was going for over $100 (because it was "famous" on the internet). A Snopes user challenged the owner of the album to post an image of the back side of the album, and he did. After confirming the album was, in fact, real, one of the Snopes users actually managed to track down and contact Ken, using the Cedar Rapids phone book. Ken confirmed that he was aware of his internet notoriety, and is considering auctioning his 4 remaining, in shrink, copies. He claims that members of his church community urged him to cut a record back in the day, which is the reason for the title.
